About
littoraly asks two questions about one thing at a time: when did it start, and when were women let in.
Each entry pairs a verified origin date with the date women were first allowed to take part — whether that meant a named rule finally being struck down, a law changing what was legally possible, or, in the more honest and more common case, no formal ban at all and simply no earlier documented record of women doing it.
Every date on this site is sourced. Claims are numbered and linked to the publisher, federation, or institutional record that verifies them — no aggregators standing in for primary sources unless nothing else is available, and that's noted when it happens.
New entries publish regularly, each at its own page here, each keeping its place in the running numbering regardless of when it goes live.
